Colt starting a Paso Fino is easy right?

If you want something to be strong and last a lifetime, you start with a good foundation right? Starting on the groundwork with your young Paso Fino is essential to getting the long term results you need for a trusting, respectful relationship with your horse at KAH. Beginning with establishing your role as the leader, and teaching your horse he has nothing to fear from you or any of your training aids will go a long way toward the partnership you want. Chipotle is another example of the quiet minded (not dull) offspring we have been getting from A Cappella's Mesteno for years. Chipotle is off to a good start, having completed my groundwork training, including some liberty work in the roundpen, lead line work over obstacles, sending into ponds and creeks, over hills, etc. he will go anywhere and trust my decisions. Now under saddle he is progressing nicely, riding solely with one of my Paso Fino rope halters, he is flexing, turning, stopping, and backing with the lightest of touch. We have a long way to go, and I am looking forward to trails in the National Forest, the highways of San Jacinto County, and the streets of the County seat in Coldspring!
